I am beyond excited to welcome you to the ✨Wander Glow Photography blog✨ This is where I’ll document all the magnificent clients I work with, my experience building this business from scratch in the beautiful country of Jamaica, and much more to come.
For starters, you’re probably wondering how I ended up in Jamaica and why I’m so passionately pursuing photography. Grab a snack, maybe a drink or two of choice (water, juice, coffee, alchy, I don’t judge!), and get comfy.

My Path to Peace
A little background about me – I grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico under the beautiful dessert sky and surrounded by stunning scenery. A mountain landscape filled with cacti will forever hold a special place in my heart. After high school, I left for college in Denver, Colorado. And wouldn’t you know it, I really loved Denver! So much so that I stayed there for 13 years.
Around my 11th year there, I felt the nagging need for change. I loved my time and friends in Denver. It shaped me in incredibly formative ways and transformed me into the person I’m proud to be today. Even still, I knew something was missing, that I was longing for something new. And so, my search began.
A petal-scattered path will always fill my soul. I’ve always imagined something like this in my happy place. And now, I live here. Pinch me!!
Why Jamaica?
I spent months researching locations around the world in search of my next home. But of course, life has a funny way of sending you exactly where you belong. I was in desperate need of a vacation, a place of quiet to calm my mind. On a recommendation, I booked at Coral Cove in Little Bay, Jamaica. I had no idea how much my life was about to change.
What followed was a week of bliss, of deep internal peace. I realized I was searching for my own peace, not simply a new place to live. I know what you’re thinking – surely that’s what all vacations make people feel. Who hasn’t gone on vacation and thought, “I could live here!”
Except this time, I could actually make the move. I was ready.
Pursuing Portrait Photography in JAMAICA!
I’m a big believer in carpe diem. Seize the life you want. Our time is so precious, and I want to soak up every minute. In my pivotal moment of opportunity, this looked like me taking the leap to move to a new life in Jamaica and pursuing portrait photography – an unrealized lifelong dream I secretly fostered.
Portraits have been my passion as long as I’ve had a camera in my hand. Two parts of the process really light me up: the experience of building a creative partnership with my photography subjects and doing everything I can to get the shot!! (In case you haven’t had the chance, this is a great moment to check out my Portfolio 😉)
I’ve also harbored the goal of starting my own business for years. I never knew what that business would be, but after a decade of experience in the start-up world, I was certain that I would one day run my own show. I’ve been a creative person my whole life with an and thanks to the helpful encouragement of a dear friend, I set my sights on creating my portrait photography business. And with that, Wander Glow Photography was born.
Why You Shouldn’t Hire Me
You shouldn’t hire me if you’re looking for a boring photography session with no fun or laughing. You definitely shouldn’t hire me if you want flat, generic images. If you never ask people to take your picture on vacation, only like selfies, or don’t look back at photos to remember beautiful memories, I’m not the photographer for you.
Wander Glow Photography is all about providing bespoke, intimate, authentic sessions to my wonderful clients. You’ve wandered to Jamaica, let me showcase your glow. During our session, I will be your #1 cheerleader, directing you to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and capturing the beauty of you and your surroundings.
